Lent 2026: Restored in Christ
Our Lenten journey is a path of return. Over five weeks, we will focus on the pillars of our faith— Week1- Repentance, Week 2- Humility, Week 3- Self-Denial, Week 4- Prayer, and Week 5- Sacrifice—not as ends in themselves, but as means by which God restores us. Join us as we prepare our hearts for the joy of Easter.
A New Season of Restoration
We gathered eMatyeni for a special congregational meeting. While we discussed important matters, the overarching feeling was one of unity and purpose. We were reminded of who we are called to be: A church that is missional, visible, unified, growing, and relevant—a beacon of Christ’s healing power to a world that needs it. We left that meeting more encouraged than ever, and we thank God for the wisdom and leadership He has placed over us. As we move forward with our Restoration theme for 2026, we invite you to join us in prayer and action. Together, we are stronger. Let’s walk forward in faith, holding hands and lifting each other up.
A Short message from Mother President Z. Loni
The core theme is "RESET" —re-evaluating your life through the lens of wisdom, not just longevity, inspired by Psalm 90:12. She encourages young people to reset their: Relationships – by choosing friends who strengthen their faith. Habits – through routine, meditation, and faithfulness in small things. Identity & Faith – by recognizing they are God's creation, made for good works. Parenting – by taking responsibility and bringing children to church. Heart – by letting go of bitterness, perfectionism, and mental strain, and serving God now. The overall message is: Reset today, live purposefully, serve faithfully, and let God guide your steps.

Dear Church Family, As requested by our minister, we have entered a solemn time of fasting and prayer leading up to Pentecost Sunday (24 May). 🕯️ Fast period: 18 May, Monday – Sunday 24 May ⏰ Daily fast hours: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM 📖 Morning scripture: Shared in all WA groups daily at 5 AM Purpose: To learn to abstain from fleshly desires and strengthen our spiritual life. It is not too late to join. Even if you haven't started, begin today. God honors the heart, not just the calendar. 🙏 Let’s seek the Lord together as one family.
Approaching the Bible with Your Heart
We often treat the Bible like a textbook—something to study and master. But in a devotional moment, it’s better to approach it as a love letter. You don't just study a letter from someone you love; you listen for their heart. Here’s a simple way to read today: First, pause. Before you open the pages, open your heart. Take a breath and whisper, "Lord, speak to me." Second, read slowly. Don't rush. Take just a few verses. When a word or phrase stands out, stop. That’s not a coincidence; it’s a nudge from the Holy Spirit. Finally, listen. Ask God one question: "What does this mean for my life today?" The goal isn't just to get through a chapter. It’s to let the living God get through to you. Prayer: Father, thank you for your Word. Help us not just to read it, but to receive it. Speak to our hearts today. Amen. #kusezobamnandinoYesu

Looking back, we can only say 'Ebenezer'—God has brought us this far, and He will not abandon the work of His hands. Join us in prayer as we build not just a structure, but a spiritual home.
Ascension Day Note
And now… He is about to appear before them one final time—not to suffer, but to bless. To lift His hands. To speak peace over their trembling hearts. And then—to ascend to the Father. Tomorrow, as we fast and pray, let us remember: He does not leave us orphaned. His blessing goes with us. His ascension is our hope—He has gone to prepare a place, and He intercedes for us still. Let us fix our eyes upward. Let our worship rise with Him. He who descended first, has now ascended far above all heavens.
